About
Julie Durando has worked in the field of deaf-blindness for more than 20 years. Julie completed her undergraduate in Visual Impairments and Intellectual Disabilities, her master’s in Special Education, and her Ed.D. in Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado as a National Center for Leadership in Visual Impairment Fellow. Her research interests include program evaluation and early communication and literacy for children with sensory impairments and multiple disabilities. She is currently the Director of the National Center on Deaf-Blindness.
