Diana MTK Autin is the Senior Director for Organizational Capacity Building Programs at the SPAN Parent Advocacy Network (SPAN), a parent-led organization with 65 diverse staff located in Newark, NJ. SPAN is the Parent Training and Information Center, Family to Family Health Information Center, and NJ affiliate for Family Voices, Parent to Parent USA, and the Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health. SPAN houses the National Center for Parent Information and Resources and the RAISE Transition Parent TA Center. Autin is the Co-Director of the NE-PACT Region A Parent TA Center and the Family Engagement and Leadership in Systems of Care TA Center. Autin is a member of the National Center for Cultural Competence’s Wisdom Council, the Region A Equity Assistance Center Advisory Council, and the Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health National Board of Directors. Autin’s awards include the 2022 CADRE Keys to Access, 2022 NJ Council on Developmental Disabilities Lifetime Advocacy Achievement, 2021 Family Voices Champion of Health Equity, 2020 NJ Women Leading the Way for Immigrant Justice, and FFCMH 2018 Reclaiming Children Awards. She and her husband have raised four adult children from diverse backgrounds, and have a 16-year granddaughter. Ms. Autin is of Cajun and Native American (Houma, Cherokee, and Sioux) background.
